The Louboutin factor
I read the Christian Louboutin piece in Vanity Fair by Vanessa Grigoriadis last night. It didn't really tell me anything I didn't already know about the guy, although I did have a "whoaaaah" moment when he described the phenomenon of fathers coming in to his stores to buy their daughters their first pair of heels: "...what you're seeing is that the father wants to be the first one to see his daughter in heels - the first one to fuck the daughter."
